The quick ones are often the most popular. That’s just how it works! 
I’ll put tons of hours into something and get no traction, then Ill do something quick (and not as good in my opinion) and it blows up 
I like the large black part on the left. Artists will often trim or fill such areas so they aren’t “empty”. Sometimes, as in this image, some nothing is exactly what is needed.
