In the “Overview” picture, it says “Base player mesh”, “Weapon stats”, “End game Warrior Tier 1”, and “End game Mage Tier 1”, so I strongly assume it is meant for a game.

Yeah completely different process when modeling for a game. You always have to give some hint as to what the model will be used for.
