Concept car: Bugger 6000

Hi, after using Blender now for 10 months or so I decided to try out doing car. I am not too keen to model already existing cars + when making own concept I am making something unique. It is all Blender, the rubber parts of tyres I made by following Blender Guru’s old tutorial for BI. The car paint node setup is from Blender 2.6 Cycles: Materials and Textures Cookbook and uses OSL script from http://vadrouillegraphique.blogspot.fi/2013/06/pyla-13-faster-than-base-material.html

The original idea I got after I saw some sketches made by Twitter friend: https://twitter.com/lindstorm/status/427453050408947712/photo/1

And btw, Bugger 6000 is an urban full-electric semi-sports car.

Feedback is welcome as this is my first experiment with car modelling.

Next I will try to place Bugger 6000 to some outdoor scene.

Beautiful tires… Love it

Nice work, my only comment would be the material. I see you used a car-shader script but I think the reflections (the highlights) are too saturated. Try tuning them a bit more towards white.

i want one! hard top, rag top, or no top?

Thank you folks! It has taken quite alot of time to get even this far so it’s nice to have some positive feedback!

And to richardvdoost: I do agree with you, I will try to make reflections sharper as well as more desaturated. Could be that doing the first fixes the second. Time will tell.

And Woldfred: rag top would be my choice, but not yet sure at all how to implement it

Did draft render with another paint test.
