Conform objects to sphere surface

Hi Forum,

I am pretty new to blender. I am trying to conform particle model to the surface of a sphere such the distance between the objects will be stretched but the objects them selves will stay the same.
Basically, I want some hundred small spheres to be positioned on the surface of a larger sphere.

If you just want sphere on a surface of another sphere you can just use particles with another sphere as the particle object. For the particle position the object origin where you want it to touch the large sphere and set its rotation to Normal
