I wanted to create a sort of stylized painterly look of a control room here inspired by Urbex atmospheres. So a lot of overpaint has been done on the image after the render. Wish you like it.

I am not sure if this is true of everybody but, I find that I get fixated with things like that. How a light touches some of the smallest of surfaces and where shadows sometimes, when well placed can drastically change the mood of a scene. Beautiful work!

You are welcome, yeah that’s right, lighting is really important. And the contrast between light and shadows you mentioned is a very interesting artistic mood.
Many old electrical panels were fastened to thick slabs of slate, and plenty of the wiring terminals were fully exposed – mostly, but not necessarily all, “on the back side.” They were in general a lot less cautious about electricity in those days.
