cool looking character

Hey everyone, I’m currently trying to create a cool, friendly and strong and looking character in some kind of final fantasy style… however, I don’t want to directly copy the famous stuff so I’m kinda clueless right now. Please help me XD here’s what I’ve done so far, the clothes are just there to cover the 18+ parts XD they aren’t really intended to look good.

Maybe some straps here and there, tattered clothes, some kind of headgear - or headwear, glasses, some assymetry, like one glove (Michael Jackson? :p) or bandage on feet… Gadgets!: )

Even some texture on clothes will help : )
