Corona 7.0 Standalone will not be FREE UNLIMITED like Corona 3.0 Standalone as previous version for Blender 2.79. IF i will make the code for new Corona 7.0 CDO scene exporter and release it.
Looking really good @odil24 would really like to give this a test! I use corona extensively in production for 3ds max and it would be great to see how it compares. It is a shame that the developers of corona cant find a suitable solution to the issues they have and make a true port/add on for Corona. It is true that there is not a lot of action or requests for this on their forums but that is I feel simply a matter that everyone has accepted that they would not be creating this and as such stopped interacting. Evermotion is currently pushing a lot of blender content on its main page and I think it is starting to be taken a little more seriously in the community. Cycles as good as it is unfortunately for now is not truly production friendly to a lot of companies, the investment that needs to be made and the hacks make me feel like I am using Vray from the early 2000s everything is there you just have to know what you are doing with it and it has a high learning curve. Corona wont be the last render engine to come in and shake the market but their out of the box quality and simple use means that its so user friendly that you accept the slower (at times) rendering.
For blender to be fully archviz friendly the currently model repository’s need to accept it as that’s what will really clinch the deal and bring a user base in. Everything needs to be easy and as much as I love everything blender you have to concede that it has some catching up to do for Archviz.
Looking forward to trying this when you have a working version
It gives me much more creativity in my workside ))
I was afraid that it will be this way, however if something works nice I do not have problems to pay for it. Corona licence isn’t expensive, and can be easily paid after creating one image.
Sadly I cannot provide you a scene which is full of 3rd part models. If you want to, I can create something together, but I read that particle settings aren’t supported, so it makes no sense to creating exterior without parrticles/geonodes
Can’t you use one of the default Blender scenes provided at https://www.blender.org/download/demo-files/ ?
No problem. Will you sent DM if I will fix some stuffs.
No, i don’t. Maybe will maybe not.
Updates:
- ported also to Blender 3.1.0 alpha and works fine with 3.0.0 beta too;
- known issue: Problem with Particle system ((

That’s sad.
Yeah, I know that and that’s why I’m working hard to solve this issue.
That sounds awesome! Do geometry nodes work?
Good question, but no idea how to support GN now.
Hi odil24 do you have a version that can be tested? I use corona everyday and would love to get stuck into this
No. Will inform when I will fix the issues.
Where can I find this latest exporter? I looked but only found the one that supports 2.8x and it did not work in 2.93. Please help!
Hi. BCorona is still in progress and you cannot find it anywhere 'cuz it is not public but also in my own repo. Read my all previous posts before ask questions.
