COS Olympic Preparation Centre in Zakopane (1962)

The model was created in Blender based on available historical photos and drawings. Post-production in Adobe Lighroom and Adobe Photoshop.

The car models are from the library of the Museum of Engineering and Technology, Krakow

First, I imported the base mesh of buildings using the BlenderGIS plugin


On their basis and with the help of reference photos I created a model of the buildings

In the meantime, using the BlenderGIS plug-in, I imported a terrain model of the mountains in the background. The texture from the satellite photo looked pretty good, but unfortunately the key spot, the top of the mountain, was in shadow.


So I had to prepare the texture myself, usisng Separate XYZ node and Smartify Nodes:

If I may make one comment…
I had a strange impression when I saw the small image, but the full-size rendering clearly shows that the cars are barely touching the ground. The first one is even levitating.
Perhaps a little too futuristic for this project :grin:
