Could someone please fix the displacement of the gravel underneath these train tracks?

Could someone please fix the displacement of the gravel underneath the train tracks of this scene? As well as the ground texture?

Only do it within the immediate vicinity of the train, and don’t do many subdivisions of the entire ground in order to save performance.

The ground and gravel off in the distance isn’t going to be seen in the render shots of this.

I followed a tutorial about how to make realistic displacement of rocks and terrain, but I’m sure I’m doing something wrong.

ctrl + a to apply scale create a plane subdivide it equaly. You dont need 1000 loop cuts on the plane because if you put the subdiv mod on top it does the same thing as many times as you want.Make sure the uv and plane is a square add array mod as many times as you want and it should look fine.test2

and enable optimal display in subdiv mod for better performance

Thanks! But can you please do this for me? I’m currently hard at work on another project and don’t have the time to do this myself.

It’s important to know first what renderer are you going to use(eevee or cycles)?

Glad to see you’re still at this…it is a Great Train…
I don’t really have the time right now, either…but here are some assets that may come in handy …and could be used with the 2.8+ Scatter Objects plugin ( is included in 2.8+ ) …
@BillyA You or @LBJ might be able to use them if so inclined…

You can see from the blend file what I did and use the textures etc to scatter along the tracks…I dumped the train and only included the ( LOW POLY TRACKS, ie: no mesh to speak of only textures) and plants… MediaFire 1.3Meg
