CPU faster then GPU?

Hey, I got a weird problem with blender.
I have:

CPU AMD Ryzen 9
GPU RTX 3060 6G

And for some reason the CPU is by far faster than the GPU, is it they way it spouse to be?
Also sometimes when I render with the GPU it’s giving me an error “out of memory”
Anyone has any idea what it means?

Make sure you’re using updated Nvidia studio Drivers and not game ready drivers.
Also be sure optix is selected in preferences.

“out of memory”
If that happens it means that your GPU is not using its maximum speed and will be much slower or crashes the render.
Mean your scene - and maybe other apps also opened contributing- are using too much VRAM for the 6 GB VRAM you have in the card. You can check in bottom right in Blender how much VRAM is consuming. In Task Manager you can check how much total VRAM is consuming in Performance>GPU.

Make a reboot of your computer, download the Blender Benchmark here https://opendata.blender.org

and make a test.

If the sum of 3 results are at level of RTX3060 laptop which i think is around 2450 points.

You can also download the typical Classroom scene here

And render it in CPU and GPU. In GPU Optix should 30 secs.

The GPU is faster at rendering speed.
GPU cannot handle rendering larger than GPU memory size

Although the CPU is slower than the GPU, it uses RAM memory, making it easier to resolve the expansion of insufficient memory by adding RAM.

※ In a simple way to solve the shortage of memos… There is a way to reduce the size of the Map image. (Example, reduce 4k Map image to 2k Map image)

I have R9 3900x.
Its faster than GTX 1060, but slower than RTX2060.

For me your case doesnt seem right. GPU should be faster.

i have invidia studio drivers
and i did select optix
still not warking

I did download the Blender Benchmark and it gave me a score of 2510
also the task menger showing that its using only 1%-0% of the GPU.
Im using optix.
the GPU is selected.
Maybe you have solution for me please.
Im pretty new to blender so it might be something obvious

Blender Benchmark is okay .

So the issue is your scene that have probably too big resolution textures. What VRAM it says it is using?

Mine for example says this in right bottom corner VRAM:1.0/6.0 GiB means it is using 1 GB or 6 GB available.

-My resolution is 1080*1920

-Again i dont know how its possible for the CPU to be faster then the GPU

-Couldn’t find the VRAM thats you are talking about ,but i did a screen shot maybe you will find it?

Your VRAM is okay, it says in GPU Dedicated Memory 1.9 GB being consumed from 6Gb.
It is your RAM memory that is consuming much 14Gb of 15.4Gb (if you have other significant apps opened turn them off), note that your SSD is at 39% meaning that probably your system should be using the page file heavily. You system seems also to be in hybrid Optimus mode with AMD card working, verify in Nvidia settings if it is the RTX3060 that is the GPU defined for Blender.

I have the VRAM data in Blender must be some option that i have activated in Edit>Preferences.
