create channels for all bones in armature

I am using the dope sheet to create my animations, but right now I cant seem to get channels automatically created for all my bones at the start frame. The only way to create new channels right now is to move each bone. Selecting all bones and saying insert keyframes will only add keyframes to current channels or bones that have been moved previously.

How can I create a channel for each bone in one click?

Look into keying sets. I don’t use them personally, but that could be your solution.

keying sets are useful since you only hit I-key to add all keytypes of the keying set to all selected bones. quickest way to add keys to all the bones is: select all bones in posemode by hitting A-key and then hit I-key (with e. g. a keying set LocRotScale) and you’re done.
