Creating a Corvus corone in Blender!

Thanks man.

Uh, nice one. Really like it a lot.
Would you mind to give some insights about how you did the feathers? Is it planes or shaped hair?
I’m especially interested how you managed it to distribute them so nicely!

This is a great animal animation! Timing on the wing flags right before touchdown is superb. :metal:t2:

Amazing! How did you get the feathers to ā€œsmooth outā€ and create a smooth silhouette?

Great! The rig and animation are really fantastic, so it’s balanced with realistic look!! Meanwhile, it’s a blender forum, but I’m interested in using Krita for textures. Did you do the painting or photo editing in Krita? If the work you did in Krita was editing, how was it compared to Photoshop or Gimp?

Wow, fantastic work! A lot of time went into it! I like everything about this work, the real animation, the shading, textures, especially the wing folding and also the bending looks really good! Is the bending actually rigged, or did you apply some physics / resistance to them? Or both?
All in all, that’s in my oppinion AAA+

This is really great work. Have you considere to put it on the blendermarket? I could use this one for a lot of my project and i’d like to support you with a purchase.

Well done!

I love how in the animatic it lands, does a little dance and shuffle to rebalance and recollect itslelf, and then IMMEDIATELY STARTS BLASTING HIS DREADFUL VOICE

That’s a raven, no doubt
Renders look great, too! Would love to see it in action

Wow! That looks great! And the animation is surprisingly realistic! I don’t think I’ve seen a bird animation that looked quite so realistic!
Fantastic work!

Birds are one of my favorite animals! Nice birdie you’ve done there

I especially like magpies, as they tend to tease cats by pulling their tails.

This reminds me of a Warcraft cinematics a long time ago. https://youtu.be/sotg3le_EqU?t=176

Hi thanks.
I used two methods to create the feathers. The crow’s head feathers mainly use the regular hair system, and the body parts mainly use the plane.

Thanks. I do texture editing in Krita, of course Photoshop is faster and more convenient, I love it. (By the way, I haven’t used Gimp, so I can’t comment) But I want to create with completely open source software, everyone can use it for free and can share works, ideas, etc. with each other without hindrance, that’s what I like Reasons to use Blender to create realistic works.

Thank you. I did not apply physical dynamics.
