Crowded City

This is actually a screenshot from a 3d animated music video I recently released, so forgive the render noise and duplicates. I was working with a limited budget and was teaching myself how to pull this off as I went. Also, if you see any strange motion blur, it’s because the buildings themselves are moving. The designs are mostly based off of Korean apartment buildings. If you’re interested in seeing the entire video, I might post it in animations.

Rendered at 1,000 samples with Renderstreet.

yes would like to see the video:) This aesthetic is really nice, not enough detail to be photographic, but the lighting and shading and everything gives big nod to realism, so it works very well! Great job.

I agree, this already looks very good! When you’re working on a video, especially with constraints as you were, you can never give things all the attention and detail you would like. I think you did very well, at least with this shot, and would love to see the whole video!

Thanks for the replies. This screenshot is from one of many other scenes, particularly one of the biggest in my project. I posted the video in animations under Dancing Cities if you want to take a look at the whole thing.

Wonderful,
I would suggest you some more overall reflection because now it looks to me a bit dry! With reflections, more visible will be great!
