That’s great news @Peter-N I thought it was dead, that would be a real shame as it’s the only crowd simulation solution for Blender. I’ve been waiting for something like this for years. Looking forward for the next release! Thanks for the hard work.

Was the add-on abandoned? Will there be new tutorials?

I have been waiting for something like shit for 11 years. Since Harkyman developed Blended People 0.6,. Unfortunately that does not work with modern versions of blender. I will give it a try and let you know my impression.

BTW is there a way of getting a zip or preferably a PDF of the docs. I do not have 24/7 internet access and I would need and offline copy

Hi guys, I just wanted to post here to say that the CrowdMaster project is not dead. We are working on some special features and projects and we will be woking towards another release. John, is possible to share node arrangements as presets? it would be very interesting that it could be created a custom controls of the whole node set so it would make easy for others to control few easy parameters without needing to get onto all the node setup.
It would be great too, a far integration with Manuelab, so Crowdmaster could benefit from the tools of this addon on generating high quality ramdom agents and their assets.

The next release that we are working on has node groups built in. If you download the development version on the download page at http://crowdmaster.org/download you can test it out.

I think that this kind of simplification on the use technologies are very important to get more impact on this kind of new node addons, cause only a very few amout of users would be complete new node developers, the huge amount of users would be modifiers or hakers of previously build very complex node arrangements so if you have your users on 2 diferent levels:
1-node arrangement developers.(few)
2-users that only make changes to previous node arrangements.((a lot more people)
Then, having a two level node control UI, becomes very important, with a very simplified controls for the users nº2.
this would be a very important innovation on this kind of new node based addons, that would been seen may be as new programation languajes rather than final addons itself, son on this vision they need a important UI controls building functions.

Hello to everyone. I’m trying to learn how is the workflow of crowdmaster…I need a good tutorial to learn…maybe specific for the scenario that I’m trying to build…because to learn with a scenario that you create directly from your imagination is more funny…I found only one good serie of tutorials on youtube that are very good : the christian campos tutorials…unfortunately they mainly use an old version of crowdmaster. and I don’t know which version is it,even if I have installed all the old versions. Below you can see a picture of the version used by christian :

instead,below you can see a picture of the version that I’m using. I realized that on crowdmaster 1.2.x under the tab “utilities” there is nothing…instead on the 1.3.x i see what you see below :

so,there is no match between some tabs and I don’t know which version christian used. Apart from this,I’m very angry because a lot of tutorials created by the authors of crowdmaster are old and there are a lot of test scenes really not useful to learn how it works.

You can follow development of the 2.8 branch on GitHub here, however it hasn´t been updated in 5 months and I haven´t tested it myself.
