Hello blenderartists.

I activated my artificial gravity during the jump to round out the movement, reviewed the animations of jumping for a better transition Walk / Run, jump, fall.

I added a bone to animate the torso during running without disrupting the rotation animation.

I lighten the object that is used to detect water by removing texture and making it invisible, to keep the logic of detection and greatly relieving the visual. A second object is now used for the visual surface of the water and I think use a semi-transparent plane on “overlay” to simulate a little inside fog.

Here are some captures from the surface of water, new grass texture, and an update of the suit texture with a grain for the reinforcement (dark gray):

Edit : small test of grass tuft for edge.

Hello, little suit update and health indication through line.

http://nsa25.casimages.com/img/2011/04/14/mini_110414035425389134.png http://nsa26.casimages.com/img/2011/04/14/mini_110414035434607795.png http://nsa26.casimages.com/img/2011/04/14/mini_110414035442131770.png http://nsa26.casimages.com/img/2011/04/14/mini_110414035719362276.png http://nsa25.casimages.com/img/2011/04/14/mini_110414035927745926.png

Cool, I think that you should make a little improvment on the texture of the character, if you want I can make it looks more smoth, I made the same a while ago for plop on the character of his game, if you want my help please contact me via PM.

Hello and thank you leonnn. Yes I must improve the suit texture, it was just color bake in my last comment.

So I tried basic paint on the dark gray, and test grain on dark gray and white :

http://nsa26.casimages.com/img/2011/04/15/mini_110415055821617194.png http://nsa26.casimages.com/img/2011/04/15/mini_11041505584069029.png http://nsa26.casimages.com/img/2011/04/15/mini_110415060343484762.png http://nsa25.casimages.com/img/2011/04/15/mini_110415060524107007.png http://nsa26.casimages.com/img/2011/04/15/mini_110415060924232886.png http://nsa26.casimages.com/img/2011/04/15/mini_11041506115220753.png

I don’t think smooth is the problem, I must find good grain and improve my paint, as I did for the head.

I think that I express myself no right, I mean to make it look more realistic not exactly smoth. well, anyway, I was just offering my help

I see, but I don’t understand what do you really think by more realistic. The actual texture isn’t good so make this version more realistic isn’t good too.
Do you think about material (grain) too ? and if it is that, What kind of material (grain) do you think for dark gray and white ?

ithink that you should work more on the hair on the texture of the f ace, on the division between the diferent parts of the armor, add more details. I like to take this kind of thing to do to test my texturing habilities.

Hello and thank for your tips leonnn, I just start painting so I think putting a little time before proposing correct textures. I’ll see what I can do to hair roots and suit details. in the meantime, here’s pictures of :

pattern for white on uniform : - start of an animated menu : - start painting for white on uniform :

Hello, little update with a video of my new space menu.
Letters design is not definitive and I think about a little enlightenment on GLSL rendering mode.
http://nsa26.casimages.com/img/2011/04/20/mini_110420051418666267.png

Two words “Too saturated”. I would make her eyebrowns darker, her hair longer and decrease the size of her boobies. Also this looks a bit cartoonish, I suggest you increase the size of the pupils.

The main menu suggests it’s more dark and not that saturated…you have to choose what style. But it looks good, just need some polishing

EDIT: Also reduce the amount of stars in the main menu, it’s distracting…

The stars are a bit distracting - perhaps make them darker, or just make them more sparse. Her pupils do seem a bit too small for her eyes, but the rest seems fine. Great job so far.

I remember that you had a different menu what happened with that, I really liked that one, this one is cool for me but I liked that one more. And the game ll be with glsl support you only facetexture, because I love the shading that you made on your game, the first ones, for me that one was a masterpiece, hehe, I hope you keep with that idea it was very different and cool.
Well aniway, its nice to see the game keep being developed!

Hello and thank you for your comments.

I kept the details of my suit but I mostly tried to improve my menu, where I think deleting my old polygonal borders test of the sun and space.

Gudra, yes I haven’t worked the eyebrows texture yet, I think making them similar to painting hair.
For hair I expected different hairstyles, I don’t modify the hairstyle you’re talking about because I have already done another one more longer. For chest I don’t think modify it, I find it good as well I’m sorry.

On the saturation, like the cartoon style, it is intended that the style can evolve over the game.
I don’t intend to choose between this rendering style, I plan modify the rendering as a function of something like the player’s score or other.

SolarLune, indeed pupils may be too small relative to the eyes, I’ll see what I can do over there without disrupting their animation.

About the stars of the menu, the biggest problem I see in the background is that he has no depth.
It’s true that they hide a little the menu itself but I think more modify the menu and not change the background.

leonnn, nothing special has happened with my first menu, but after deepening of the script I wanted a menu more suited to it, maybe I would consider the player save to change the menu appearance, which in this case it will be much easier during the first part, as my first menu.

Yes I am aware that my “glsl” rendering is much prettier than my “multitexture material” rendering, I worked hard to achieve a very clean toon rendered and I intend to use it.

The textures was already planned when I was still on a compatible computer glsl but by that time I preferred to focus on a bunch of bge test. but be careful it does not mean that I abandon my toon rendering that I really like, aspet of the game is expected to evolve over the party and the texturing is provided in this evolution.
What would be nice is that my render with texture as good like my toon, but I still have much work to achieve this goal, because I’m beginner in texturing.

I see, your game is one of the coolest on this forum, I ll wait for more updates, keep up with the good work!

Hello and thank you leonnn.

I removed the polygonal borders of the universe and I unchecked the button “light” on “texture face” for the sphere of the sun, the button "light " on "Texture Face " was already unchecked for polygonal borders of the sun, so these two components are mixed properly.

I have not yet found a better appearance for my title but I still tried to change its model.

http://nsa26.casimages.com/img/2011/05/09/mini_110509094435446056.png

Finally I also just kept the details of my suit.

http://nsa26.casimages.com/img/2011/05/09/mini_110509094356807370.png

The game’s looking really good!

Very cool. Is there any chance we could see videos of the gameplay?

Hello and thank you Laxwolf and Sonic14.

I changed my universe background :

I kept the suit details with a basic gradient,
http://nsa26.casimages.com/img/2011/05/12/mini_110512061723673866.png http://nsa25.casimages.com/img/2011/05/12/mini_110512061832296360.png http://nsa25.casimages.com/img/2011/05/12/mini_110512061852699468.png
And I’ll try the game area planned for the “controle” menu, which must provide a playable tutorial.
I probably go make a video when it is well begun.

Hello, quick update with a video.

I optimized my background universe with several layers of star,
tested a little of grass and started the playing area planned for the menu “Control”.

Maybe it’s the video, but she appears to fall far too slowly. Maybe you need to scale her down (if she’s not to scale? 1BU = 1 meter, so a person should be around 2 BU tall for Bullet to calculate their physics properly). Still, it’s looking good. I see that you have a large amount of animations, all blending together, too. Well done.
