Cthulhu in R'lyeh

Hey all!
I decided to take the CG Cookie Sessions Vol. 1 minimalsim course “Ancient Pillars” in a different direction and ended up with this. Huge thanks to @theLuthier for his guidance and vision throughout this course.

Here’s Cthulhu in R’lyeh!

Great. I’m working on a minimalistic Cthulhu project for a flyer, tentacles only, didn’t think to put him in an underwater structure, great idea! Loving the little gargoyles, too

Ha awesome! I’d love to see your work on the flyer when you’re finished. I just finished the Call of Cthulhu and found the whole thing very interesting.

The book? Yes, Lovecraft was very special in his nebulous descriptions!
Maybe I’ll post it, if it’s cool enough…

Cthulhu :heart:While he could use some more details on the face (or maybe its the lighting that doesnt make him very readable to me), you really captured a very cinematic feel

Yes it definitely was! It would be great to see the poster!

Thanks for that. Your comment is one I heard a few times when testing this image, but I decided it was less about Cthulhu and more about the feeling than anything else. Still, great note!
