Cube Abstractions...

Here are some “abstract” interior renders using luxrender RC5 and bidirectional 50/50.

The idea is to use “to many” bounces to try and get at the kind of subtle lighting effects one might see when really studying a RL scene.

Both of these images are rendered in a enclosed room, cube shaped lights are hidden behind the panels and are selected in this wireframe…

After 50 hours ( 4000 s/p ), the cube is copper…

After 100 hours ( 5000+ s/p ), the cubes are matte using Oren-Nayar 0.3…

The cube shapes are Structure Synth example shapes that I liked.

Best Regards.

wow that looks great!

that are quite nice shapes… the cube with 2 direction twist is more interesting than the branched roof for me… i must have seen your website at some point very recently as i’ve seen that cube room outside of blenderartists… cool cool

thanks for looking

the cube is a example shape in structure synth so it might have been that you have seen other renders of it or visited the site: http://structuresynth.sourceforge.net/

normally I like to make stuff like this from scratch but I really liked the spiral cube
