Hello fellow blender artists!
I thought I would share some progress on a new character and tutorial(breakdown?) series I’m working on.
This simple stylized model has been constructed for the purpose of being tormented as the default character in a series of Unity game prototypes I want to work on.
I’m also using this as an opportunity to put everything I’ve learned about rigging in Blender 4.0 into practice. So I decided to build the rig for my character from scratch.
Along side this I am creating a series of articles that go over some of the more interesting bits of rigging the character. Once I am finished I would like to present the series in the Tutorials, Tips and Tricks section for other artists to hopefully find some value from.
So far I have created two parts:
Custom Character Rig Breakdown Part 1 - Introduction
Custom Character Rig Breakdown Part 2 - The Face
What I would love is if anybody had some time to give them a read over. I am really keen on hearing feedback on how I can make the articles of value to you. At this point I’m not really sure if I’m hitting the right depth, or explaining things in a way other people will understand. I also worry part 2 might just be too long. But I welcome your thoughts!
I have most of the rig complete but I am noticing some gaps and errors in it while testing. I will be working over the next few weeks to address that and finish the remaining parts of the series.
Thanks for your time in advance
Joe
