In the video the pathing for adding custom matcaps is on a linux system. WHere do you put them in 2.8 on windows 10?
I’d have thought the users’ AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender\2.80\config\datafiles\studiolights\matcap would work but nope!
Solved! it was here:
AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender\2.80\datafiles\studiolights\matcap
Is it just me or is it really hard to get your mouse past the matcap sphere to change settings in the bottom half of this panel?
I so much love the idea of Matcap and overlays - thats great.
It would be awesome if matcaps could also be applied to a per object basis
but maybe then we are were eeVee comes in vs Blender 2.7x options
