This was an odd little project from a few months ago. I was facing some pretty bad art block, so I decided to just take the default cube with a mirror modifier and start randomly extruding bits off of it and see what happened. I made a weird little low poly space ship looking thing, and then duplicated and warped it a bunch of times. At first I didn’t have a plan was I arranged the duplicates, but gradually it evolved into something that vaguely reminded me of an elephant so I added a trunk and refined the ears. The material on the model has no color so I used colored lamps to create the gradient effect. The scene is rendered in EEVEE and only took me a few hours to make.
I love the style I accidentally created with this piece, so at some point I’ll try to expand upon it with more similar artworks
