Robo Stag Beetle rendered with cycles at 3000 samples.
I hope you like it. I’m Going to finish it within this week (upper legs, head, stag…) and posting updates too. I wanted to create a tecnical but still realistic look. What do you think? Maybe you have got Ideas for Improvement or suggestions for the environment?
Still not finished but I made the upper body and legs and tried different materials, colours and lighting. I also experimented with DOF. Wich version do you like the most? Any ideas for improvement? Please give me feedback:spin:

I like the first one, the colors are nice and the DOF gives it the nice “miniature” effect
So I’m back with a new version of my beetle. What do you guys think?
Please leftclick open in a new tab for better resolution. Thanks!
Hi! It looks really impressive.
I can’t give any detailed feedback yet since I am new here. However, just a personal opinion. The material used over the head and the “shoulders” looks less ressistant than the back itself. For me looks like easier to bend. If you want to give that effect it is fine, otherwise, maybe you can try to protect your little beattle’s head better
Nice job!!!
Thanks for your answer. You’re right I think i’m going to change that!
And I still have to make an environment. So if somebody has an idea please tell me:spin:
Wonderful work here. Modeling an texturing are really good. The bright spot on the ground is very distracting, though. Perhaps you can minimize that with a better spec map for the ground? I wonder what the beetle carries on his back?
