I’ve been reading that using both my GPU and CPU together can speed up render times, but when I try it, the opposite happens.
For example, if I render with just my GPU, an image that originally took 27 minutes now takes less than 5 minutes after some tweaks. But when I enable both my GPU and CPU, the render time jumps back to around 15-20 minutes instead.
So my question is: Could this be an issue with my CPU and GPU not being compatible, or is there a setting in Blender or my PC that I need to change?
Noted. Thank you for that! I am just wondering if I can further shorten the render time. And btw, I am still new to Blender. You have any tips or advise?
Reducing rendering time has settings that sacrifice rendering quality.
However, the difference in the results may not be significant.
In this regard, it can be easily found by searching.
The problem occurs when it exceeds the available VRAM (stability + slower rendering)
This can be resolved by enabling tiling.
But because it’s rendered multiple times, it slows down the rendering to some extent.
