Cycles Baking De-noising (Lightmap Creation)

Has anyone else been interested in having the denoiser working with baked textures in cycles rather than just rendered images? I think it would be very valuable for creating ray traced light maps. Another potential use is baking static lighting into a scene to improve render times in animations.

Im hoping to start a discussion here where we could potentially get updates on this. Do we know if there are any plans on this being implemented?

I often bake ambient occlusion maps. It would be great to have faster baking times for that.
