Cycles does not match Eevee lighting

Hi,

I’ve created an animation with eevee which is cool. But I want to render passes like, z pass, cryptomatte etc so I switched to cycles to render. But the look do not match. I’m fairly new to blender so I do not have a good understanding of cycles. I understand that I can get the bloom effect in compositing but what about the volumetric light, colors etc?

Yes, these are different renderers, they will not look exactly the same. First you should activate the a.i. denoiser under View layer properties (denoise data) and create a setup in the compositor. For the volume light you can use a box with a volume like this one.

Or you can use the glare node in the compositor or both. :wink:
