CYCLES problem with gpu glass render

I have nvidia gforce 8800 gt and the newest drivers.

When using cycles and the CPU option glass seems to render fine and how I expect it too.

When I switch to GPU it seems to work faster, but my glass is covered in an almost checkerboard texture like image. I have played with the thickness and solidify modifier but its strange and I have this nagging feeling that it is something trivial.

Any suggestions?

This seems strange. I have not had this experience. Maybe post a picture of the checkerboard texture. Maybe that will help someone recognize the issue.

And post the blend, if possible.



Here are both versions. The first clear one is rendering with the cpu and the second one with the funky patterns on it is the gpu. Nothing else was changed, I literally just switched sources for cycles renderer.

I also observed that in last build so I am using a former build until that is corrected.
