I have this weird problem when my all-quad topology model renders quads as triangles. It’s cycles only, Eevee works fine. Might be important to mention that it was originally an imported game model, meaning that it used to have triangles before I turned them to quads. It can be reduced by subdividing, but it’s annoying to deal with.
I’m not sure if this is a modeling question or a rendering as it is specifically for this model but only in rendered view…
It is also because the faces are not flat, if they were flat they would look like quads (although they are really 2 triangles). Add a plane - it looks flat go to edit mode and as soon as you lift a vert of a plane you will see 2 triangles.
