Cycles Translucentcy

Hello Blenderheads,

i got a little problem with my project. I want to make a shadow puppet video. My setup is this:



Thats how it looks like:


So far so good. But the space in which the objects are sharp is way too small in the z-axis. My goal is a space like this:


The translucent material has no option to controll the bluriness. Is there a way to controll it?

Mix a glass shader will a diffuse shader, the glass shader actually has a controllable roughness parameter (where in your case it would be best to set it to 1 and let the IOR determine the roughness).

Yeah! thanks! tried this before but my values of IOR where too high. It´s great now. Perfect!
