This is a platform game I am making for my GT project. I know I have no screenshots up yet but I’ve been working on the gameplay first and foremost. It is going to be open world with optional missions.
9-6-13 UPDATE:
it has been a while so I think I should give a decent update: we have a team together for this one, and the gameplay is at least working.
10-24-13 UPDATE:
We switched the gameplay up: It is now a platformer in the vein of Ratchet and Clank
11/4/13 UPDATE:
changed the entire theme of the game and re-wrote this paragraph.
I look forward to testing this out, it could save me a whole lot of work and I can’t thank you enough if you do. By the way, where is the link to your .blend file?
Captain Andrew-
Thing is, Im currently working on the main gameplay and wont upload anything until its at least playable. most of the code I’m using is from blendswap. its going to take a while but i will have a gameplay demo up be at the latest may (this is my new GT project. may is when its due.)

check “finished games” or blendswap (python code area). search for it and you may be surprised. the game i released shows tight controls and decent animation, but didnt have a high quality anything. this game is destined to change that.
Tested - Ubuntu 13.10
Mechanically it works, nice job.
I think you forgot to pack some textures, the console reports these missing resources:
rlaunch.wav
grass1.BMP
lava1.BMP
rock2.BMP
sand1.BMP
water1.BMP
This exception pops out at start:
Python script error - object 'Camera', controller 'Python':
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "HUD:", line 6, in <module>
IndexError: list index out of range
And this when I shot at something:
Python script error - object 'fire', controller 'Python':
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "gunshot script", line 12, in <module>
KeyError: 'value = gameOb[key]: KX_GameObject, key "ENEMYHP" does not exist'
Minor stuff, the game is there, keep up the good work.
Thanks for the feedback! I fixed the gunshot error but for some reason the HUD is still throwing that error. It only throws it once, and the HUD is doing what it’s supposed to, so I wont mess with it as much as I’m messing with everything else.
as for the files, I forgot to pack them. simple as that. I was rushed because I tried to make a video showcasing the gameplay, and it kept not saving, and was already trying to upload this before school got out the Friday before Christmas break.
