Danger at Sea

I was working on this scene lately making use of the excess time I’ve got. This creation was mostly inspired by the Lovecraftian mythology that I was reading recently. I wanted to make something related to the sea for a long time. I was always fascinated with storms, but I didn’t know where to start, or what would I try to picture. This is my result:

…and this was my layout:

The whole scene consists of 2.749.837 vertices. To texture the tentacles I made vertex groups and used the attribute node to connect them to my material. For the surface of the sea, I used the Ocean modifier. I used Blender 2.8 for modeling, texturing, and part of the compositing, and then I moved to photoshop to add the water splashes around the tentacles, and the boat, next I did some basic colour correction and a couple of other minor things.
Thank you for your time, and feel free to tell me what you think in the comments below.

P.S: Try to find the name of the boat.
