That raises the question of official mirrors for stable versions (SourceForge, Graphicall…?)
At least none of the devs. have been swatted yet.
That is another thing that could happen as a result of popularity, something which is unfortunately way too easy to do.

Hmmm, I just read in the Twitter comments that today’s episode of Blender Today had a massive spambot attack. Someone out there appears to have a large chip on their shoulder when it comes to the Blender project, I hope BA isn’t next on the list.
Dont blow it up. DDOS Attacks can happen to every service for unknown reasons and the spam attack was the first one in the blender today chat. Maybe someone trying to test his system or…
But its a riddle to me why someone is attacking an open source website…
