Dean Smile Revisited

I started this in 2021 I think, worked on it like 6 months and was happy with it. Recently Ive been tweaking it and learned some basics of image matching references. I tweaked almost every aspect of it. Hopefully its a much more natural image. I ended up using a 4 level multi mes modifer to add more secondary details to the face. Hair is not perfect but my best I could do now.

Modelling, grooming, shading, rendering, uv mapping in blender 2.92 and 3.4. Zbrush for high frequency sculpting (main mesh is like 160 million polys in zbrush with hdgeometry) Skin, eyes and teeth were done in substance painter steam version.

Some wires too. I used a heavier base mesh which I now use a different workflow.

Everything modeled from scratch.

I featured you on BlenderNation, have a great weekend!

Thank so much Bart! I was not expecting this at all! Much appreciated!

I love Dean! You definitely captured his likeness in his eyes! The chin and jaw give me pause, but it’s a stunning work!

Thank you so much! I wasn’t 100 percent happy with it, but I think that is normal with liknesses in general for me. Always chasing them but never fully getting them.
