I modeled the light-saber myself. any ideas how to make the scene look better?

Did they have a lightsaber fight in a subway? The environment seems incongruous with the subject.
No; they never did! I just thought what if I put it this way. 
I am glad it looks like a subway. just like I had intended!
I don’t know about this one. In a galaxy far, far, away, you wouldn’t actually see something like a recycling bin or Coca Cola cans. I would suggest that you have a close up on Luke Skywalker’s body being shown while Vader is in the background or you place Vader in a close up shot with the Jedi’s freshly made corpse to give the impression that he’s walking away from the battle.

this is more star wars then the stunts disney has been pulling.

Thanks for the opinion. I will try to make changes as you said. But I am a rookie and I don’t have much assets. I will see what I can do.
Well, there’s always a Darth Vader model out there somewhere for people to download. Can’t really say the same for Luke Skywalker.

There are a couple of things you could do to give it an instantly more Star Wars like aesthetic. (that might not be what you’re going for…that’s fine!)
You can adapt the scene you already have pretty easily. So…remove the bin and cans. Add a simple black glossy shader to the floor. On the walls, add the very familiar looking wall lights SW has. (Model, or use texture, up to you - see image)
If you don’t have much assets, that’s fine. Change the camera angle a little, get closer to the hand. You could also add some red glow lights, to suggest Vaders lightsaber is ignited. Perhaps, a reflection in the floor. If you wanted to add a hint of vader, you could use an Alpha image, and let it reflect on the floor surface. Maybe just a rough outline of his figure visible with the ominous glow of his lightsaber.
There are lots of things you can try. Just have fun

I think most Star Wars fans out there are going to immediately point out that the light saber is wrong. The blue light saber that Luke uses in The Empire Strikes Back was Anakin’s before he turned into Vader so just google for that and you should have enough reference images to remodel it.

The green one is the one he builds after his dad cuts off his hand that at the time was holding on to the blue one. Both of them have different ‘hilts’.
Green or Blue the hilt I think would have to change for people to immediately know its Luke that is dead because all that we see of him at the moment is his hand which is not much to go on. If the light saber is not specific than it’s just a random dead jedi.

so if it is blue it means his hand is cut off?
and if it is green it can mean an alternate fate which is Luke’s death?
