DeathMatch: AI Mecha Snake Vs. Mimic ShapeShifter (animations/comparisons)

Who wins in this battle?

AI Mecha Viper, with these capabilities:

-Can drill or bore through anything (up to 3 meters per minute). Able to enter buildings from below, climb through walls, etc.
-AGI intelligence and poly-sensors distributed through it’s structure
-On-demand synthesis of dissolving acids, paralyzing sedatives, terminal toxins
-Can ‘spit’ (project) these agents with pinpoint accuracy up to 50 yards.
-Carbon steel body and electrical discharge for protection

Here a very early simulation:

The opponent?
The Mimic Shapeshifter (here visualized with the help of Cartesian Caramel’s Geo Nodes rig) features the following powers:

-Silent Assassin Movements
-Sinewy strength
-Can adapt its form to other biological life

My mech snake was a funny little accident. Will perhaps explain later.

AI terror vs. Bio villian. Whoever wins…IT AIN’T US!

(yes critique on this early version is welcome)

They both look absolutely awesome, especially the mimic!

It would be nice to see a version that wasn’t destroyed by the encoding.
Also, it looks like the gears on the tip of the snake’s tail change in size. I’m not sure if this was intentional or not but IMO makes it a little cuter (which might or might not be what you are going for).

Is the mimic all one node setup or do you have it split into a few objects based on the material?

The mimic is epic…far more refined and sophisticated than my viper doodle. Yes the encoding really chewed that video up. Better viewed on YouTube.

The mimic rig is available on Gumroad for a few bucks.

There are three or four refinements I might make on my Viper, but wanted to see the general reaction to the general concept before investing anymore time on it.

It started from this familiar “Curly Curve” spline, LOL…then I started adding to it, just exploring. Had no idea of a snake or doing anything creative.

I featured you on BlenderNation, have a great weekend!
