Deep Shadows crashing...

Is anyone finding deep shadows are broken in 2.5? i am doing fur tests and 2 things are happening.

1/ I only get one render. The second always crashes and I have to restart.
2/ Deep shadows never render without crashing.

I’m using 2.5 build R30554 which is the latest from Graphicall.


I, too am interested in the status of DSMs. I really could use the ability to have mapped shadows mimick the alpha value of the meshes which cast them - for some mechanical assembly cross section work I’m doing. Does anyone know who the dev was on this, and what the status might be?
