Depth maps from alternative perspectives

All,

I have an issue where I would like to observe the depth of my object as given from one perspective, at another perspective. For instance, I have two cameras in my scene collection with a car in the center. The first camera is orthographic and staring directly at the car. The second camera is 90 degrees and staring at the car from the right (can be any angle on this plane). I would like to see a depth map of the car as given by camera one, projected into camera two’s frame of reference. Does anyone know if this can be done in Blender?

Give it a blend texture ( black to white gradient ) on whichever axis you wish, and that is basically the same as a height map, but doesn’t change with the camera view unless you change it.

Awesome! This is exactly what I was looking for. I really appreciate it.
