this is my first model. it may not be the best but as a first i think its not too bad.

From what I can see, the form seems nice. Unfortunately, the jpg is too small and there is no wireframe to critique your method with. The contrast between red and black is really hard on the eyes, thus limiting the look of what might be a decent model.
i agree with the above, though that looks better than my first model
