Displacement in Blender 2.55

Hello,

I m have a problem with displacement in Blender 2.55. I don´t know what hell is this, well I did a picture for show better and blender file.

For a displacement map it is better to use the displacement modifier where yo have more control rather than using the displacement texture channel

It looks like the strength of displacement is set too high.
