Hello everyone, I’m having a problem with the displacement map when importing in blender. I got these weird artifacts/ squared designs on my displacement map. Everytime I’m rendering with cycles, I got this.
Does anyone ever encounter with this issue? Is there any solution to that. Thank you in advance!
Can you share your displacement map?
But I have this problem only in blender. Marmoset works fine, even octane render in blender works fine. I think it’s cycles.
I use exactly the same setting. What happened if you try to render it with cycles?
Do you maybe a 16 bit png format this way i think you can avoid this problem
Ok i will try to use 16 bit and let you know.
Thanks for your help.
Hi,
Maybe these advices could help you:

Try Cubic rather than Linear interpolation in the texture setting. Depending on how close you are, may be enough to smooth over some of those stepping artifacts. If not, you could auto contrast the image, change to 16 bit and apply some blur. If also that fails, get a proper 16 bit image.
Or even better - a proper 32 bit.
