Fire in Babylon - Movie about the rise of West Indian cricket team of the 70s.
Senna - the life of Ayrton Senna
Connections - British TV series about the history of science and invention. It’s got enough in every episode to set me thinking for a long, long time.
I can’t recall all the other science documentaries but I watch tons of them.
Planet Earth, South Pacific, BBC wildlife specials, Echo and the elephants of Amboseli were all beautifully shot, and I often watch them just for the scenery.
Megafactories, Million2One, Journey to the edge of the universe, Banged up abroad, etc.
NOVA’s site had a great one about the race to absolute zero, it was pretty interesting. They also have one on Tesla I keep meaning to watch. I recently watched Grizzly Man, it was more weird and awkward than anything. Stephen Hawking’s Universe was cool, also there are some BBC space ones, I liked the ones about the sun and the giant/outer planets which went into the voyager missions, very cool time. I have Trinity and Beyond about the A-Bomb which I may watch in the next few days, I’ll keep you posted.
@(jay) I haven’t seen too many WWII documentaries. I’ve seen tons of documentaries on the solar system. The last Nova doc that I saw was about quantum mechanics(crazy stuff). Nova science now needs to come back.
