a question been jumping throw my mined for the last 5 years sens i started using blender
does blender community or the foundation support game,s ideas, ?
does the blender foundation actually care,s about the game engine in the first time?

throw this time, i discovered that the only game was made officially by blender foundation or just even using blender engine was yuo fronky

looking throw the youtube and other,s creation,s in blender artist , it show,d me lot,s of thing,s that blender can do and more, like



with all this beautiful project and efforts, that been given to make such a remarkable thing why isn’t there any good games by blender?

so the questions are,

  • why isn’t there any actual blender games made yet ,
  • does the foundation intend to develop the engine to another high level , like other engine,s
  • is there any chance that blender can do game,s in it,s current situation, for ex online game,s like league of legends or C9
  • do you think we should ask the foundation to make thing,s or to even develop the engine for blender users

2.8 Would be the perfect time to do a blender open game, using the new viewport and all the backbones added by upbge.

I have been developing wrectifieds core systems for years, to allow collaboration through using control proxies between the game controller and actors or vehicles, and between the actors and props and have streaming detailed futuristic sci fi worlds.

The BF may support a blender open game some day, but I think we as the community are in the hot seat to make good games, with all the work the UPBGE team has been doing.

so what should we do as blender users to see some great blender games?
should we just do game,s demo,s ? and hope that one day wee get the support from the BF ,or should we just find group,s and join them to achieve great project,
lot,s of great users ,in here fear , to work with other groups ,for free , and sometimes for no reasons
which will make the group eventually die ,because thy want someone with hard skill,s like the programmer for instance or the lead modeler
i my self , a modeler and for 5 year,s i,v been trying group a team to create an online game ,and no one is willing to join because thy fear of free work, which made me in the end think like , start doing small game,s by your self

step 1 game design document

step 2 make the core mechanics using stand in art and simplifications

step 3 make it fun by playing and testing, make tools to make puzzles and levels etc.

step 4 art team takes over

edit: I see you are probably using a phone and leaving a bunch of extra punctuation - clear communication is key in a online project. Look like a leader or you won’t be one.

online games are hard, and the payoff is sometimes not that great compared to single player.

The key here is to maxamize your efforts.

Yeah I think if you want to recruit people to work on your project you’re gonna have to do more than just “putting the idea out there”. I think you should start alone and make a good portion of the game yourself, or at least a demo, just so people know that you actually know what you’re doing and you’re serious about it.

After that you can ask for people to join your group for further work on the game.

EDIT: Also have a realistic idea in mind. Like if you ask for people to work on a new open world multiplayer rpg, most people will probably just disregard you for being just another newbie who doesn’t know what he/she is talking about.

then to the other step, what are the limit,s of the blender engine
for about 4 month,s now i,v been working on a simple game , that i call it arcade tank

the game is easy and with no fancy texture,s or high control and thing,s it,s just a 2d tank game that i mad with low poly model,s ,i chose is to be like that because i want to try can i make a game or not, the thing is that when i exported the game , i noted that it,s still heavy and she is laging so much, which made me think what will it be if i am to build a game with an open world type
not to big world but a world with texture trees and other elements
i used blender 2.77 for the game with a pc of core i 3
