Im nearly finishing my night scene animation and i was thinking about doing god rays.
If the fog is thick enough and the moon is bright enough, sure. It’d probably be really subtle, so don’t overdo it.

Other than that, no, I don’t think I’ve ever seen the effect you’re talking about in reality
Moon light have nearly the same characteristic as sun light (color and angle), except of course for strength. So god ray can appear in the same conditions as with sun light if the scene is only lighting by the moon. I think we rarely see moon god ray is because moon is rarely our unique light source.
I don’t think I’d take the time to add such a thing … I don’t think you’ll get a return on investment.
