I have yet to upgrade my MacBook Pro to the recent ‘Catalina’ update, but I’ve heard some say that Apple will be dropping support for OpenGL? At least I think that’s what I’ve heard… Can someone tell me for certain whether or not upgrading to Catalina will affect the functionality and compatibility of Blender on my MacBook Pro? I’d really appreciate it.
I am using a 2020 MacBook Air with Catalina and I haven’t had any issues with Blender 2.8 or 2.9
Oh great! Thank you! That clears everything perfectly.

Great! If you’d like to know the latest version of Blender that works with macOS Catalina, you can download Blender 3.2.0 from here: https://blender.en.uptodown.com/mac/versions
Blender 2 still works on Mac, but I highly recommend downloading Blender 3. It offers significant improvements and bug fixes over its predecessor.
