Donkey Kong Bananza!

Hi everyone, I made this 3D model of Donkey Kong (Bananza!) almost a year ago.

The challenge here was to sculpt something without using symmetry. For the pose, I was inspired by his first transformation in the game.

Of course, I blocked out the character using the mirror modifier to roughly work on the new Donkey Kong’s proportions.

To be faster, some elements like the fingers were duplicated and then modified in Sculpt Mode.

Once I was happy with the proportions, I retopologised the sculpt before sculpting the fur.

For the fur, I sculpted a plane, converted it to a Vector Displacement brush and used it on the retopologised body and head.

I modelled the rocks and made the UVs to bake the Ambient Occlusion map.

This is an attempt at making the UV maps, which I believe I failed miserably at :joy:

Here I am using Ucupaint to work on the textures inside Blender

I hope you enjoyed my model! :man_bowing:

If you want to have a look at the model, here you can find a low-poly (not exactly ) version on sketchfab https://skfb.ly/pCC6n
