So I made a simple donut. Hope you guys like it. Beginner to Blender.

I really like how you painted the texture of the donut and the bump map of the donut.
Some things to watch out for:
The corners around the icing should be hugging the base donut
Icing corners should be rounder, make sure you see ref. of how icing behaves (adding more icing coming down in the inner ring of the donut also would help)
But overall, it looks good! Keep it up!

Looks nice, but the edges of the icing are way too sharp imo
