thank you matt… the inspiration was a series of fotos of young ladies in very colorfull dresses, and i thought i can start from there and tell a story via pose, expression and dress resp accescoires…
Great to see this up and going again! Wonderful sculpt! What is Zmodeler?
bonwr, thanks , no this lady had no zmodeler in her most of the sculpt is blenders dynatopo…
Great to see you putting up new works.
Beautiful image again from you.
No, I mean, what is Zmodeler? Is it a new modelling tool for Zbrush?
oh, bonwr, i had misunderstood… yes, zmodeler is a new modeling tool inside zbrush. it has the features like blenders edit mode, and, if one likes zbrush ui, then it is very intuitive to use i love it.
Wow! Zbrush is getting even better (I didn’t know if that was possible :p) Another reason to save for it!
i am working on a big project, i have shown already bits in the dynatopo thread, and today i want to share a teaser here
the evolution to become a rose … first dynatopo sculpt. then retopo, where the outer petales where done by zremesher, the inner ones done by hand in blender. zremesher just could not do it … then rendered with just material. then painted textur, bump-, roughness- and normal map in substance painter. i have downloaded a demoversion the other day, and thought this project would be a good test ride
Oh my goodness, that is so realistic! I wouldn’t be able to tell the difference between this or a real one! Really good work! That retopo must have taken ages?
Wow! Great sculpt! Even without the textures/materials, this would be awesome; but once you add them, it just looks amazing! As bonrw said, I don’t think I could tell the difference between a real one and this.
thank you bonrw and modelman, glad to hear that … yes the retopo took quite some time, but then it was not really difficult, just timeconsuming… i am happy the effort was worth it
Definetly! Looking forward to seeing more on this project! :]
So much awesomeness in here!
thanks dr.elektro
a crocodile, which i did to test substance painter. test failed, and this one is painted in zbrush. croco was sculpted in dynatopo, details sculpt in zbrush. posing in blender with lattice, render, of course cycles. no postpro except adding signature…
WOW! Very nice! Would love to see a tutorial on how to sculpt one of these!
Oh, Ah, wow
I was to start a crocodile. Oh my, this is great Doris.
Now, you’re killing me.
ah, bonrw, these are not as difficult. get good reference, and go first for the big forms. see, these are long cylindrial most on a croco. get the proportions right at this point, or you will be unhappy afterwards. only then go into somewhat smaller forms, like getting the head shape correct, indicate how the feet sit, and so on. next jump to even smaller forms… and, don’t wing it without reference
ah, michalis, i am sorry, did not know about your plans. just do it anyway, yours will be different, as our sculpting language is different
some nice work there, is the background photos?
If yes, the postwork is nicely layered, blend pretty to make it look game-ish and maintain an amount of realism.
Also loving the normals there, is it not lowpoly with normals?
some edges look abit hard, not that i am complaining since it’s beautiful and i have a fetish for lowpoly games with
decent texture/normals.
Now more into cellshade and calculated poly sculpt.
Please do more, Doris!
thank you valentino… yes the background is a hdri foto, and two planes with that foto layered under the croco to get the water effect…and yes the croco carries a normal map. the high poly was 18 mill, blender does not like to render such biggies much…
i love the realism!
