Could you please allow to download a whole thread as .PDF file (from the Thread Tools dropdown)?
This way, one could read his/her favourite topics offline.
I know that it’s possible to “Show a Printable Version” and save a page as .html but this method just allows to “print” one page at a time. And it’s not perfect for someone who wants to read a whole “54 pages long thread”…
That’s why I hope you’ll consider adding an option to save a thread as .PDF file.

I think that there might be plug-ins for our forum software that allows that, but it may not be easy to do.
In the meantime, try this trick… you can get the “archive” page for any thread. Have a look at this thread’s URL:

See the bold number in that URL? Keep track of it. It’s the identifier for this thread. Replace showthread.php?438512-Download-a-whole-thread-as-PDF-file with archive/index.php/t-438512. Now if you go to this link:
https://blenderartists.org/forum/archive/index.php/t-438512
You should see the archive version of the thread. That may be a more printable version for you. You can use this technique on any thread in the forum.

i.e. Single post, Marked posts or Whole Thread to DL as PDF/RTF/DOC…?

It looks like some development has happened, but as far as I can tell, this feature isn’t yet in the current release.
Works for me using firefox, must have a PDF reader installed. I use Foxit PDF

It’s about the WHOLE THREAD (preferably clean - no extras).
Many sites have such an option to display or export as intended, formatted for printing.

Yeah, just hit print and you’ll get the entire topic, formatted for printing. Seems to work fine for long topics now, too.
Nope… doesn’t do the whole thread, only ‘first’ (loaded) page comes through.

Strange, it works fine in Chrome and Firefox on OSX:

I also can not get the whole page to copy to pdf , tried 3 different times with FF, with 3 different sections missing, about 1/3rd to 1/2 half missing.
Tried with IE, also getting the same result.
Seems if the thread is a short one, no problems, but long threads, there’s a big issue.
I’m on Win7…seems OSX is handling this with no errors.
