I’m trying to get these pics to photo quality. Tell me what you think of them now.

Which pic do you think look better?

Neither. In both the cans look TOO much like hard rubber.

Thanks for the replies. Like I said I’m working on them. I would appreciate some advice. I’m not sure about my caption either. If any of you have a better one, I would love to hear it.

The can might look better with an envmap - static or loaded - and with the Spec, Hardness, and SpTr (maybe?) fairly high. You might want to work these changes on top of the first version of the picture - the darker can.

give the metal part of the can a better looking aluminum texture, here is a can that i made awhile back, http://www.angelfire.com/pa5/pontiac/pepsican.html it actually came out somewhat realistic looking, and i didn’t even try to get it that way.

needs to be more shiny. I would also change the ingredients. You started out with “Very Low Polygons” but then just listed normal soda ingreedients. Try listings some of the features

nice job, now all you need to do is make a really-hi-res one and print it out on a poster and put it up at your school or work.

Nice work! The third one I like best.
The small cans definitely need some hard shadows.

Very good. Does anyone know where I can get a good can texture or do I have to scan one?
