Really great modeling, textures, rigging and animation. How long rendering 1 frame? Cycles?

Impressive model! The animation also is very good!
I donā€™t know why, but it gives me the feeling of a ā€œgood 'ol dragonā€, not a bad guy, I meanā€¦

Thanks!!! Around 12 minutes per frame with Cylces. Took me 3 weeks to render^^

In terms of dragons, you easily have the best one Iā€™ve seen in Blender up to this day. Great Job!
Ho and yeah, this was how I hoped ā€œSintelā€ would look like

Nice drool! Is that a particle system or post-processing?

To achieve that transition did you record your screen without rendering it, then another one you recorded your screen while rendering it, then in after effects you put them together with a transition effect? Iā€™ve always wondered how they do that lol.

awesome! how did you make the dust when the dragon moves around ā€¦ in post?
or full smoke sim? or just planes with textureā€¦ need somthing similar!
thx

I just used the AO pass for this. When I render from Blender I always safe different passes like AO, Shadow, Mist, Subsurf and so on. Then I just blended between AO Pass and final result.

What does AO stand for?

Ambient Occlussion
