I’m messing around with Duplic-verts and faces and am getting an unexpected result. Following the wiki page I make the object I want to be duplicated the child of the object I want to apply dupli- to (in this case the cube). After choosing the cube and activating dupli-, instead of placing the duplicated objects on the cube it’s placing them around the duplicated object. Any idea why I’m getting this result?
Have you positioned the origins of the child and parent objects in the same location ?
I could do that but according to the example on the wiki page, that’s not needed. You can see it here. Oh wait…I found the problem. The duplicated object needs to be at the origin of the coordinate system. Once I located it there I can move the parent object where ever and the duplicated objects stay on the parent.
