Duplicate Linked Objects Poly count

Can I measure the number of polygons of an object duplicated with Duplicate Linked like when duplicated with Duplicate Objects?

Duplicate Linked

As of now there’s no way of calculating instance polycount automatically in the default Blender (There might be addons that do it).

One way is to multiply the total polycount of 1 object with the amount of instances it has.

Another way is to save your blend file, select all objects you want to count the polygon and make single user, check the polycount and revert your file.

There’s an issue open about this from 4 years ago, I don’t know if they are actively working on it right now.

This is a problem because I am modeling for a game.
I’ll look for an add-on that measures it!
thank you for teaching me!

Model first, then fix the poly count.

I have watched a lot of professionals from various apps doing tutorials. Its common to hear them say do a rough model, get it accepted, then clean up the model for poly count and animation.

You may have a look here:

…this shows up in the scene properties and can also show for not only selected  … and do sum up also the linked ones… works also with 3.6.4 …

thank you! I solved the problem by using the add-on you introduced!
